7th World Zoroastrian Youth Congress
July 1 - 6th, 2019Theme
The 7th World Zoroastrian Congress will be held in Los Angeles, California, from July 1 to July 6, 2019. It is being hosted by the California Zoroastrian Center in partnership with the Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America.
The theme of this congress is “A Global Zarathusti.” As the first youth congress took place in California in over twenty-five years ago, this congress is a milestone event where we can recognize the progress and shortcomings that our community have faced over the last twenty-five years as the original youth groups have now transitioned into adulthood. Now, it is time that we reenergize our youth and engage them again to build a better Zoroastrian community in an increasingly globalized world.
We plan on encouraging the youth to attend and take place in the ABC’s of the congress.
- Academic: What updates have taken place in our understanding of the religious and historical literature regarding Zoroastrianism over the last twenty-five years?
- Business: What professional opportunities are Zoroastrians thriving in across the world and how can we continue to thrive professionally and entrepreneurially going forward?
- Community: What can we do to reignite the flame as our community continues to expand across the world?
7th World Zoroastrian Youth Congress
Executive Committee
The congress is being organized by young Zoroastrian youth from southern California and all over the world. The Executive Committee of the 7th World Zoroastrian Youth Congress brings together a diverse group of youth, born both in the USA and Iran and completely in tune with their identities as global Zoroastrians in the 21st century. They bring along diversity of thought and practice, including both Iranian and Parsi Zoroastrians with a common goal to celebrate our rich and varied cultures that have spanned the globe from ancient Iran and India to modern-day Zoroastrian diasporas in the Western world.

The Congress shall be hosted by the California Zoroastrian Center (CZC) in partnership with Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America (FEZANA).
California Zoroastrian Center
The main objective of the Center is study of Zoroastrian religion, dissemination of information and the teachings of Zoroastrian religion to persons interested in it. The Center celebrates religious and national festivals, holds religious, cultural and social classes in English and Persian, arranged talks by scholars, holds music concerts and painting exhibitions, and publishes a quarterly bulletin with articles on religions, history, culture, news, and calendar.
Federation of Zoroastrian Association of North America
Founded in 1987, FEZANA serves as the coordinating body for 26 Zoroastrian member associations and 14 corresponding groups throughout the United States and Canada. FEZANA promotes the study, understanding and practice of the Zoroastrian faith in North America.
FEZANA represents the interests of its member associations, and carries out philanthropic and charitable activities worldwide. FEZANA Journal, FEZANA’s publication of record, circulates to Zoroastrian households in more than 22 countries, as well as to scholars, academicians and religious organizations worldwide.
